Colorbond® Steel for Your Homes
Colorbond® steel products are designed for the various environments in Australia. It undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it can withstand our harsh climate, tested in several outdoor locations as well as in accelerated laboratory testing. In fact, Colorbond® steel has over 12,000 panels being tested currently in various Australian environments. Colorbond® metal roofing supplies undergo testing for corrosion, durability, and application testing (to ensure it is suitable for various buildings).
Colorbond® steel also conducts regular quality assessments. This assessment program is designed to replicate building applications in Australian conditions. Tests include various roof pitches, product types, profiles, and unwashed testing to assess corrosion risk. These types of tests are used to analyze the performance of Colorbond® steel on real homes and buildings.
Zincalume® Steel

ZINCALUME® Steel also goes through a continuous hot dip steel process at a certain temperature, by looking at the manufacturing process and strict quality control, ZINCALUME® Steel is able to provide the best protection for your building solutions.
BlueScope Lysaght’s ZINCALUME® Steel products are world-leading products. ZINCALUME® Steel has two types of ZINCALUME®, namely G550 and G300. G550 is suitable for rollforming to minimum internal with limited ductility, developed for roofing and wall materials. While G300 is also suitable for rollforming up to a minimum diameter of 1t with good ductility, for building house frames, RWGs, gutters and home sheds. The coating mass for ZINCALUME® coated steel is 150 grams/m2 for both surfaces.
